How to Flatten an Art Print that Comes in a Tube

If you're having the art print custom framed, just take it to your framer and they'll know what to do.

But if you're framing the art print yourself, do this first!

*Leave the glassine sheet on top of the print to protect the surface.

Step One- Unroll the print on a flat surface and place books on top for 24 hours or longer

Step Two- Roll the print in reverse using the tube it came in

*Go slow and make sure the paper is tight against the tube while rolling to avoid any creasing

This was a really helpful and well-explained guide. The step-by-step instructions make flattening art prints much less intimidating, especially for beginners. I also appreciated the practical tips for avoiding damage during the process. Proper preparation is so important before Picture Framing, and this article does an excellent job of explaining how to achieve the best results. Great work!

This method to flatten art prints seems simple and effective. I appreciate the clear steps, though I wonder if humidity affects the process much. heartopia location

Yes humidity is definitely a factor with paper, it changes shape much quicker in high humidity. In areas of low humidity the books may need to be left longer.
