Sophie & Jacob's Wedding

I had the pleasure of attending the beautiful wedding ceremony for Sophie and Jacob at The Rocks in Yandina.

It was a perfect day and I got warmed up sketching some guests before the wedding party arrived, including the mother and grandmother of the bride.

Once the limousine pulled up I managed to get a quick sketch of both the car and a bridesmaid approaching.

Sophie emerged in her stunning yet simple wedding dress with natural waves and a delicate veil.

While they said their vows I had ample time to sketch them holding hands at the front and to block in the sketch including their whole wedding party underneath beautiful Mount Ninderry, which I painted later at my home studio.

I got a few more sketches in after they said 'I do' and celebrated, taking pictures with their family and friends. This was challenging as there was a fair amount of movement!

I hadn't met Sophie or Jacob previously as we had only been in touch via email, but I was honored to have attended their beautiful wedding. I loved the styling with white flowers, pale yellow bridesmaid dresses, tan suits, and of course, stunning Sophie<3
